Volunteering
- If you RSVP'd "yes," please click on the volunteer button next. We need you to do both steps, and if the RSVP button has a green dot, you should also have a green dot on the volunteer button. :) A nice visual reminder of a successful sign up! :)
- When you click on the volunteer button you will see a list of jobs. The meet organizer, stroke judge, computer, or starter jobs need training, but any other job is open. There will be many parents there to show you the ropes!
- Next, click on "Need Volunteer" beside the job you would like to work and select your name. Once you have selected your name it is important to go to the bottom and click "save" and then close out of the window. Again, refresh the calendar page or sign out and then sign back in to make sure that lovely green button appears!! :)
- Volunteering is very important. Running a swim meet takes a lot of work. The main goal is for your child to get to compete in a meet that is ran well, and that takes volunteers. Every family is required to volunteer at least one family member at every meet that they attend. If you have small children and are alone at the meet, there will be an exception, but otherwise, we would love for you to pick your own job or happily volunteer where needed when our Meet Organizer requests your help. :) Thank you in advance for giving your time to ensure that your child has a positive swimming experience!! We appreciate you!
- Vadawn Stroud will be our awesome Meet Organizer this year and will be in charge of volunteers. She is a wonderful resource for all things swim, and her cell number is 367-1485.
